He was predeceased by: his parents, Carl Janssen and Louise Zimmerman Janssen; his stepfathers, Howard "Pat" Wright and Charles Anderson; his siblings, Elmer, Roger, Geraldine Schultz, JoAnn DeGeus and Pearl Griffin; and his stepson Craig McCown.
He is survived by: his former wife Cynthia Kay Fisher; his wife Ann Janssen of Morgan, Texas; his children, Leslie Becthold of Nashua, Iowa and Aaron Janssen of Des Moines, Iowa; his stepchildren, Kim Keeney of Duncan, Oklahoma and Scott McCown of Whitney, Texas; and his sister Doris Hicok of Mason City, Iowa. He is also survived by 6 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren.
Memorials may be made in Gordon's memory to the charity of one's choice.
