He was predeceased by: his parents, Joseph Orfield and Madorie Sawyer Orfield; and his wives, Jean Pilant Orfield, Wanda Orfield and Shirley Orfield.

He is survived by: his daughters, Lisa Orfield (Debbie Evans) and Lori Orfield Smith (Mike) of Comanche; his granddaughter Kadi Smith Baize (Truman); his great grandchildren, Jett and Knox Baize; his brother Phillip Orfield (Linda) of Gainesville, Fla; his nephews, Jay of Florida, Kyle of Florida and Paul Orfield of Florida; his niece Teresa EdwardsCapen of Conifer; and his uncle Reed Orfield of Jacksonville, Fla.
