She was predeceased by: her husband Luther Adkins; her parents, John W. Ritter and Bertha Emma Lee Thomas; and her siblings, John R., J. E. Virgil, Alvis, Jessie Mae, Ritter Lofton-Boren, Mildred Deivah and Ritter Lepard.
She is survived by: her husband Arthur McIlwain; her daughters, Andrea Hoffman and Camille McCraw (Randy); her stepson Bruce McIlwain (Cecilia); her grandchildren, Holly Hoffman-Ortiz (Steven), Andrew McCraw (Carla) and Alyssa McCraw; and her great grandchildren, Hayden and Finley McCraw.
