Jamie D. Springman Obituary
Jamie DeWayne Springman, 51, of Moore, TX passed away March 11, 2024 at his home. He was born August 4, 1972 in Alton, Illinois to Michael Leo Springman and Trudi Springman (Sutton). He is survived by his wife Tanisha Springman (Cumberbatch) who he married on August 10, 2007.
Other survivors are his daughters Katherine (Katie) Springman aged 28 and Samantha (Sam) Springman aged 25. He also has two stepdaughters Alexis Ghany aged 25 and Alena Ghany aged 24 with 3 grandchildren Reyna (6), Ezra (4) and Aaliyah (2). Jamie is also survived seven brothers, Michael Lee (Tina) Springman of Bunker Hill, IL, Tracy Alan (Dawn) Springman of East Alton, IL, James Russell Springman of Cottage Hills, IL, Mark (Rebecca) Palmer of Georgetown, KY, David Palmer of Louisville, KY, Ronald Wayne (Veronica) Springman of Rosewood Heights, IL, Aaron C. Springman of Perry and three sisters Michelle Tate of Modesto, IL, Crystal Renee (Charlie) Roemer and Mary Renee Milford, both of Godfrey, IL and many nieces and nephews.
Jamie retired from the U.S. Army as a highly decorated recruiter in 2020 after serving for 29 honorable years. He was well loved at his civilian workplace where he worked as the operations manager of 6 companies. His favorite pastime was drinking coffee while watching the animals that roamed on the homestead.
His other hobbies included playing video games with his wife and watching movies. Visitation will be from 12:00 noon until time of funeral service at 1:00 p.m. Thursday, March, 21, 2024 at Gent Funeral Home in Alton. Reverend Sonny Renken will officiate.
Burial will be at Valhalla Memorial Park in Godfrey.
