He was predeceased by: his parents, Weldon "Fuzzy" Dossey and Ollie Dossey (Bruton); and his siblings, Tom Dossey, Johnnie Lee "John Lee" Dossey of George Dossey, W. A, William "Jim" Dossey, Lois Dossey Hill and Saralyn Dossey Housman.
He is survived by: his sisters, Shirley Dossey Hall and Mirtes Marie Dossey Emmons; his children, Cecilia Bell, Shannon Guthrie, Melissa Guthrie, Tracy Guthrie and Crystal Guthrie; and his caregivers, Cecilia, Trey and Brandon Bell.
