She was predeceased by: her parents, Homer Buton Hayes and Edna Brown Hayes; her former husband Frank Carroll; her husband Ernest Leroy Placker, Sr.; her sons, Ernest Placker, Jr. and David Carroll; her siblings, Emajean Satterwhite, Dorothy Webb, Katherine Mayfield Burns, Edna Ainsworth, Nancy Burns and J. B. Hayes; and her grandchildren, Melissa Lee, Katherine Taylor, Joseph Cardoza and Nova-Lee Harris.
She is survived by: her children, Paul Carroll (Alice) of Hardin, Michael Placker of Mountain Home, Arkansas, Cynthia Conley (Walter) of Temple, Nikki Ladden (Bruce) of Austin, LaVonda Cardoza (Joe) of Temple and Kathleen Roberts (Craig) of Des Moines, Iowa; her daughters-in-law, Susie Placker of Texas City and Nadine Carroll of Temple; and her sisters, Margaret Guillory and Christine Sharp. She is also survived by 44 grandchildren, 35 great grandchildren and 2 great great grandchildren.
