He was predeceased by: his parents, Ernest Johnson and Esther Johnson (Blackwell); and his brothers, Henry Johnson and Johnny Johnson. He is survived by: his children, Julia Johnson and James Johnson Jr. (Kris); his grandsons, Joshua, Jacob Johnson and Zachary Sheldon; and his siblings, Howard Johnson and Minnie Resendez. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
