We bid farewell to William Vance Vickers of Montgomery, Texas, whose journey of life gracefully concluded on April 8, 2025 at the age of 79. William Vance touched countless lives with warmth and kindness, leaving behind cherished memories that will forever echo in hearts. He was predeceased by: his parents, Ross Vickers and Paunee Lord Vickers; his brother Jimmy; his sister-in-law Martha Vickers; his sister Susie Clark; and his siblings-in-law, Kay Boudreaux and Kenneth Hawkins.
He is survived by: his sister Betsy; his siblings-in-law, George Cox, Jimmy Clark and Tommie Hawkins; and also, Juanice Clark Vickers, Elizabeth Ann Vickers Tolleson (Aaron) of Shoreacres, Jennifer Joann Vickers (J. J.) and Ross Vance Vickers (Cristen) of The Woodlands. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Friday, April 11th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Starr Funeral Home, Inc. (510 Starr St, Hemphill, TX 75948). A funeral service was held on Saturday, April 12th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Starr Funeral Home Chapel (510 Starr St, Hemphill, TX 75948). A burial was held on Saturday, April 12th 2025 at the Vance E. Vickers Cemetery (890 Telephone Rd, Milam, TX 75959).
