He was predeceased by: his parents, Heinrich "Tex" Nielsen and Maureen Nielsen (Furey); his daughter Sara Maureen Nielsen; and his brother Norman Nielsen. He is survived by: his wife Jackie Nielsen (Johnston); his children, JP Nielsen and Matthew Nielsen; his children-in-law, Taryn and Lauren; and his grandchildren, Peyton and Blake Nielsen.
Visitation was held on Monday, November 18th 2024 from 10:30 AM to 11:00 AM at the St. Mary Catholic Church (8227 County Road 205, Plantersville, Texas 77373). A funeral Mass was held on Monday, November 18th 2024 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the same location. A committal service was held on Monday, November 18th 2024 at 12:00 PM at the St. Mary's Catholic Cemetery (8227 County Road 205, Plantersville, Texas 77373).
