He was predeceased by: his sons, Leon Hopkins Gibbons and Walter James Gibbons; and his parents, William Gibbons and Cora Collins. He is survived by: his wife Ruby Gibbons; his daughters, Deborah Joan Gritz, Vickie Lynn Elmer and Connie Louise Walterschiedt; and his sister Joye Ann Hoesman. He is also survived by 16 grandchildren and 34 great grandchildren as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
