Brian Christopher Doner Obituary

Brian Christopher Doner left us unexpectedly, due to natural causes, to be with the Lord, on Friday, July 30, 2021. He was only 48 years old. Brian Doner was born on March 15, 1973 at 10:55 am in Minneapolis, Minnesota to David Melvin Doner and Christine Genevieve Thordson Doner.

Brian attended Jefferson High School in Bloomington, MN and then went on to graduate from St. John's University in St. Cloud, MN. After graduation, he was hired by Cargill in Minnesota then relocated to Texas where he met the love of his life, Erica Palacios Doner. Brian's family meant everything to him. His love for his children was evident as his heart would swell with pride as he watched Reese excel at the piano, Ryan's athleticism, and Walker's love of God's creatures.

Despite injuries and serious health issues Brian remained optimistic. He was always looking to the future and whatever problem was on his doorstep, he believed that, tomorrow, he would somehow be able to fix it. With his larger than life personality, charisma, and work ethic, (he rarely missed a day of work) naturally he was a great salesperson and was very successful in business.

Brian grew up with his brother, Jason, visiting their family cabin every weekend on Holt Lake in Garrison, MN with his mom and dad. This would become a place of peace and refuge for him as he grew older and he loved watching his three children, and nieces and nephews enjoying it as much as he did.

If you knew Brian, you knew he loved his family, golf, tennis, and animals. When life was hard, Brian could always count on Quincy and Goldie to cheer him up.

He would cheer them up with a hamburger from Whataburger.

He is preceded in death by his mother, Christine G. Doner and Father-in-law, David R. Palacios. Brian is survived by his wife of almost 23 years, Erica Palacios Doner; his three children that he adored and treasured, son Ryan David Doner (21), daughter Reese Audrey Doner (18) and son Walker David Doner (16); his father, David M. Doner; his brother Jason Doner and his wife Sarah Pietig Doner and his nephews Darrin (13), Dylan (10) and his niece Alyssa (7); his brother-in-law Joshua Palacios and his wife Alicia Curle Palacios and his niece Trinity Joy Palacios (11), Mother-in-law, Claudia L. Palacios.

Brian is also survived by beloved cousins, aunts, uncles, friends, and co-workers.

In honor of Brian and his love for the Minnesota Vikings you're invited to wear your "Vikings Gear" or something purple to the services. Brian LOVED hosting and celebrating!
