He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Clarence Hicks and Josie Hicks; his children, John Hicks, Jr. (Marsha), Tim (Elaine), Jodie Hicks and Chris (Angela); his close friend Janet Naquin; and his wife Mary. He was also cherished by thirteen grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.
Those honored to serve as pallbearers are Jonathan Hicks, Joseph Estes, Kanyen Guice, Preston Hicks, Clay Hicks, and Elijah Hicks, In lieu of flowers, donations may be directed towards the charity of one's choice in John's honor.
