She was predeceased by: her parents, Elmer Halvorson (John Evans) and Florence Halvorson; and her son John Evans. She is survived by: her husband Dr. John Evans; her brother John Halvorson (Marilyn) of Las Vegas; her children, Timothy Evans (Judy) and Kirsten Knippers (Mike); her daughter-in-law Marilyn Evans; and her grandchildren, Miranda Knippers and Leif Knippers (Austin).
