With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Edythe Yvonne McElroy of Montalba, Texas, born in Pelican, Louisiana, who passed away on June 22, 2022 at the age of 96. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Thomas Charles Garrett and Ester Mae Hight Garrett; her husband Walter L. McElroy; her siblings, Thomas Garrett, Jr. and Mary Boyt; and her children, Vicki Nortzon and David McElroy.
She is survived by: her siblings, Dean Garrett, Missy Payne and Joann Smith; and her children, Libet Shell (Roy) of Montalba, Rosemary Looney (Charles) of Tyler and Lannie McElroy (Lynn) of Sugar Land, Texas.. She is also survived by thirteen grandchildren, seventeen great grandchildren, numerous nieces and nephews.
