He was predeceased by: his parents, Marvin Donald Rodgers, Sr. and Geneva Rodgers (Williford). He is survived by: his sons, Shay Rodgers (Angie) of Sansom Park, Jason Rodgers (Jeanette) of Fort Worth and Jonathan Rodgers (Amber) of Palestine; and his siblings, Drunell "Dee" Pace of Athens, Johnny Ray Rodgers of Athens and Roy J. Rodgers (Colleen) of Chandler. He is also survived by 12 grandchildren and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.
