He was predeceased by: his parents, Bailey Weldon and Lera Norvell; his son Monty Kirby; his siblings, C. H. Kirby, Harold Kirby and Mildred Pettit; and his aunt Nannie Pippin (Joe).
He is survived by: his wife Mary Jo Kirby of Montague; his daughter Kristi Stover (Steve) of Lipan, TX; his grandchildren, Rocky Roberts of Bowie and Riley Walker of Bowie; his sister Nora Faye Sherwood of Tyler, TX; and his brothers-in-law, Bobby Britton (Dorothy) of Lubbock, TX and James Britton of Nixa, MO. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
