He was predeceased by: his parents, Athie Hargrove and Eleanor Hargrove; his former wife Rita Eddy Hargrove; his children, Steve Wayne Hargrove and Regina Ann Prince; his grandson Kyle Adam Childers; and his siblings, Georgia Schulte, Robert Hargrove and Danny Hargrove.
He is survived by: his wife Cholly Hargrove of Montague; his daughters, Elizabeth Childers (Danny) of Bowie and Rebecca Horton (Dennis) of Stoneburg; his grandchildren, Jason Prince, Rev. Jacob Prince, Mark Childers, Mike Childers, Justin Childers, Noah Hargrove, Krystal Villanueva, Shelby Horton and Sarah Horton; and his brother Tharon Hargrove (Linda). He is also survived by 22 great-grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers the family requests memorials be made to the building fund at St. Peter Lutheran Church in Bowie.
