He is survived by: his wife Sylvia Torres; his children, Richard Torres, Mary Huey (Gary Huey) of Monahans, Angel Torres (Michelle Torres) of Hobbs, NM and Abel Torres (Cherry Torres) of Marfa, TX; and his sisters, Dora Venegas of El Paso, TX and Manuela Carnero (Santana Carnero) of Monahans, TX. He is also survived by 10 grandchildren; 20 great grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Monday, April 7th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 8:00 PM at the Harkey Funeral Home (210 S Allen Ave, Monahans, TX 79756). A rosary was held on Monday, April 7th 2025 from 7:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the same location. A Mass was held on Tuesday, April 8th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the St John Evangelist Catholic Church (500 S Ike Ave, Monahans, TX 79756). A burial was held on Tuesday, April 8th 2025 from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM at the Monahans Memorial Cemetery (400 S Helen Ave, Monahans, TX 79756).
