He is survived by: his former wife Erminia Chavez Gomez; his son Harvey Gomez; his sister Diamantina Gomez Carreras; his nephew Larry Carreras; his niece Diana Carreras; his wife Sophia Duarte; and his children, Elizabeth Ornelas (Oscar), Michael Ray Gomez, Susanna Acosta (Olimpo) and Andrew Gomez (Catherine).
