He was predeceased by: his father Norris Spencer; and his grandparents, Pinkie L. Thornton, Horace Phillips, Farnie Thomas and Preston Spencer.

He is survived by: his mother Linda Phillips Cobb; and his siblings, Cissi Phillips and Fabian Butler (Italy). He is also survived by nieces, nephews, and cousins.
