It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Carolyn Sue Upchurch (Monahans, Texas), who passed away on April 8, 2020, at the age of 72, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Iona Enmon and Taylor Vernon; her siblings, Bobby Enmon and Shirley Shortt; and her grandson Sam Balent.

She is survived by: her husband Hal Upchurch; her children, Rebecca "Becky" May (Dennis), Cathy Balent (Jim), Carrie Hisel (Gabe), Todd Upchurch (Lisa), Tory Upchurch (Clee) and Whitney Upchurch; her grandchildren, Austin Hickman, Emily Hisel, Parker May, Caroline Hisel, Jackson Hisel, Ben Balent, Jude Upchurch and Edie Upchurch; and her siblings, Verna Long (Paul), Vernon Enmon (Roseanne), Danny Enmon, Jerry Enmon (Donna), Ronny Enmon and Terry Joe Enmon (Jan). She is also survived by twelve great-grandchildren.

Her family and friends will celebrate her life of 72 years at First United Methodist Church in Lubbock, Texas, at some point following the conclusion of the COVID-19 virus.
