He was predeceased by: his parents, Elena C. Garcia and Eliodoro O. Garcia; and his grandparents, Francisca Flores Castaneda, Catarino Castaneda, Maria Ortega Garcia and Tomas Garcia.
He is survived by: his wife Gilda Marie Garcia; his children, Gina Marie Gonzalez (Jay) and Robert Jaime Garcia (Ashley); his grandsons, Jay E. Gonzalez, Ethan J. Gonzalez, Caleb E. Garcia and Bennett R. Garcia; his siblings, Ruben Garcia and Rosario Maria Garcia; and his nieces, Raziela Garcia, Yizenia Garcia, Roxann Marie Aquero and Roscell Linda Peters.
Visitation was held on Monday, February 17th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM at the Legacy Chapels (4610 S Jackson Rd, Edinburg, TX 78539). A funeral service was held on Monday, February 17th 2025 from 6:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the same location. A rosary was held on Monday, February 17th 2025 from 7:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the same location. A funeral Mass was held on Tuesday, February 18th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Holy Spirit Catholic Church (2201 Martin Ave, McAllen, TX 78504). A burial was held on Tuesday, February 18th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Valley Memorial Gardens (3605 N Taylor Rd, Mission, TX 78573).
