He was predeceased by: his parents, Royal Breckon and Eva Breckon; his brother Robert; and his great grandchild Julianna. He is survived by: his wife Lois Oost Reed; and his children, Carrie Blackburn (David) of Mt. Pleasant, MI, Christy Miller of Des Arc, AR, Rich Breckon (Amy) of Hudsonville, MI and Rob Breckon (Carrie) of Lansing, MI.. He is also survived by nine grandchildren, five great-grandchildren, several nieces and nephews.
