It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Raquel Garcia of Mission, Texas, who passed away on January 28, 2023, at the age of 91, leaving to mourn family and friends. She is survived by: her sons, Ruben Garcia, Reynaldo Garcia and Juan Garcia. She is also survived by seven grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren.

Grandma Raquel did so many things for so many of us, from giving unconditional love to cooking tortillas and beans for us to taking care of us, picking us up from school to the many gatherings, and listening to her country music while enjoying her cold beer. I will always remember the glow she had when she would see me and her tight hugs and kisses. Ama was such an amazing loving person I will forever be grateful”
