He was predeceased by: his parents, Guadalupe Pena and Clemencia Hernandez; his daughters, San Juanita Pena and Yolanda Pena; and his wife Angelita Pena.
He is survived by: his children, Maria Clemencia Galaviz (Jorge), Melva Gonzalez, Jose Guadalupe Pena, Rosbel Pena (Imelda), Graciela Iniquez, Otoniel Pena and Oralia Rodriguez.
