He is survived by: his children, Rudie Garza, Ponciano Cortez Jr., Adrian Cortez, Cesar Cortez, Adalberto Cortez and Omar Cortez. He is also survived by 8 grandchildren, 8 great grandchildren and 1 great great grandchild.

Due to the current climate surrounding COVID, visitors are asked to wear a facemask/covering.
