He is survived by: his wife Gloria Rivera Garza; his daughter Melissa Ybarra (Ruben Jr.); his grandchildren, Michael, Christina, Anthony and Ceila; his great grandchild Arlo Luera; and his brothers, Manuel Garza, Juan Garza and Roberto Garza.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, February 26th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM at the Virgil Wilson Mortuary- Mission Tx (2200 N Conway Ave, Mission, TX 78572). A rosary will be held on Wednesday, February 26th 2025 at 7:00 PM at the same location. A funeral service will be held on Thursday, February 27th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the Virgil Wilson Mortuary's Main Chapel (2200 N Conway Ave, Mission, TX 78572). A burial will be held on Thursday, February 27th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Rio Grande Valley State Veterans Cemetery (S Inspiration Rd, Mission, TX 78572).
