He was predeceased by: his wife Leonor Salinas; his parents, Maria Santillan and Edin Salinas; his siblings, Ernesto, Gilberto, Jose, Nabor, Lupe and Elida; and his great grandchild Ricardo Rene Perez.
He is survived by: his daughters, Irene Rivas (Ruben), Hilda Ortiz, Irma Perez (Ricardo) and Elva Boren (Jim); his sister Nina Vergara; and his grandsons, Aaron Rivas (Cynthia), Sergio Rivas (Monica), Omar Rivas, Gabriel Ortiz (Maggie), Daniel Ortiz (Jennette), Geraldo Perez (Alicia) and Jaime Perez (Aissa). He is also survived by 18 great-grandchildren, and one great-great-grandson.
