He was predeceased by: his parents, Juan B. Alvarez and Guadalupe Alvarado Alvarez; and his brother Eduardo Alvarez. He is survived by: his wife Maria Alvarez; his siblings, Juan Alvarez Jr., Libby Alvarez-Pena, Oscar Alvarez and Thelma Alvarez-Olvera; his sons, Reynaldo Luis Alvarez, Raymundo Alvarez and Luis Esteban Alvarez; and his stepdaughter Iris Irasema. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews and grandchildren.
