He is survived by: his parents, Bertha Tallabas and Hilario Tallabas; his wife Leticia Tallabas; his stepdaughters, Andromeda Mares (Joey) and Vianey Serna (Benny); his sons, Jose Hilario Tallabas Jr. and Caesar Joaquin Tallabas; his grandchildren, Jeremiah King Serna, Everlee Reign Serna and Kaiden King Serna; his siblings, Irma Tallabas (Lupe), Yvette Tallabas, Jessie Tallabas and Julie Tallabas (Ricky); and his niece Juliette Jauregui.

Visitation was held on Thursday, November 14th 2024 from 4:00 PM to 9:00 PM at the Brown Family Funeral Home (701 E Interstate Hwy 2, Mission, TX 78572). A rosary was held on Thursday, November 14th 2024 from 7:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the same location. A Mass was held on Friday, November 15th 2024 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church (620 N Dunlap Ave, Mission, TX 78572).
