He was also cherished by the love of his life, his wife of 61 years.

“I just saw and spoke to my Uncle Jorge on Oct. 29 when we said good bye to my Uncle Mario. We had such a good visit. He said we needed to see each other more often. He spoke fondly of his family and of his wife. As usual my uncle had that smile and precious laugh as he hugged me hello. How sad to lose such a wonderful and loving man. My heartfelt condolences to my dear Aunt and cousins. I will miss you Uncle Jorge. Wish we had visited more often. Hug Ama Cala, Dad and Mom for me! God Bless.”
