He is survived by: his wife Esther Jasso of Leal; his siblings, Santos Leal, Raul Leal, Madolina Leal of Ramirez, Carolina Leal of Hinojosa and Simon Leal Garza; and his granddaughters, Regina and Ximena Leal Jasso.
