He was predeceased by: his parent Wilho Sr. Kemppainen (Joyce); his siblings, Gary Kemppainen, Jr., Robert O'Conner, Jeanne Holliday and Patricia Kemppainen; and his nephews, Jamie Kemppainen and Cougar Kemppainen.
He is survived by: his wife Darlene Kemppainen; his children, Wilho Oliver Kemppainen III (Chandra Menkveld), Emily Parker, Elizabeth Kemppainen and Ellin Kemppainen; his siblings, Jack Kemppainen (Diane Evanger), Jon Kemppainen, Paul Kemppainen (Filicitas Estrada) and Susan Torrance (Lamar); and his grandchildren, Savannah, Elise Kemppainen, Kaysi and Kaleb Parker. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
