He was predeceased by: his parents, Billy Joe Davis and Cecil Hitt Davis; his siblings, Patsy Davis Hammond and Bill Davis; his niece Kathy Hollingsworth; his brother-in-law Ray Thompson; and his nephew Jamie Thompson.

He is survived by: his wife Rosa Davis; his son Kevin; his daughter-in-law Leigha Davis; his daughters, Debbie (Joe Nivison) and Amy (Casey O'Connor); and his grandchildren, Emilee Davis, Ari Nivison, Eli Nivison, Ava Nivison and Aidan O'Connor. He is also survived by many other family members and friends.

He was also a Wood County 4-H leader, the Golden Sweet Potato Festival President, and active in the Alba-Golden Youth Foundation.
