With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Marjorie Tier in Mineola, Texas, born in Denton, Texas, who passed away on October 30, 2024 at the age of 86. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
As Marjorie departs from our midst, her spirit ascends to join the cosmic dance of stars, a shimmering constellation of memories that will forever grace the night sky of the hearts of those who loved Marjorie. Though Marjorie may no longer walk beside us, her legacy lives on — a testament to the enduring power of love to transcend the boundaries of time and space.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Everett Stephenson Bassinger and Lilly Frances Hurst; and her husband Edwin Virgil Tier, Jr.. She is survived by: her grandchildren, Shawna (Brandon), Angela (Nikki), Shane and Shannon; and her friend Gloria Jean. She is also survived by 6 great-grandchildren; 7 great-great grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Friday, November 8th 2024 from 7:00 PM to 9:00 PM at the Lowe-Gardner Funerals & Cremations (1102 E Goode St, Quitman, TX 75783). A funeral service was held on Saturday, November 9th 2024 at 10:00 AM at the Ebenezer Baptist Church (1410 FM 14, Quitman, TX 75783). A burial was held on Saturday, November 9th 2024 at the Mt. Pisgah Cemetery.
