He is survived by: his sons, Ray Yager and Matt Yager (Rachel); his grandchildren, Lance Yager, Katrina Yager, Jeremy Yager (Brooke), Lanie Yager and Emily Yager; and his great grandchildren, Leeland, Rylann, Abram, William, Lincoln, Lilah, Barrett and Ryan.

A funeral service was held on Saturday, January 4th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Beaty Funeral Home (5320 TX-37, Mineola, TX 75773). A burial was held on Saturday, January 4th 2025 at 3:00 PM at the Roselawn Memorial Garden (5320 TX-37, Mineola, TX 75773).
