He was predeceased by: his parents, Vladimir Svatopluk and Marie Krivanek Hala; his grandparents, Antonin and Anna Hala; his wife Ann Hala (Ann); his siblings, Libby Ackerman, Mary Ann Dodd and Charles Hala; and his grandchildren, Brittany Hala and Robert Grant.
He is survived by: his daughter Suzanne Kay Grant; his sister Helen Dulak; his children, Tom Hala (Debbie) and Gaye Lynn Woolverton; and his grandchildren, Stephanie Adams (Jonathan), Christina Grant, Jonathan Hala (Megan), Josh Simons (Ashley Woodall), Katrina Lee (Richard) and Emily Woolverton. He is also survived by several great grandchildren, neices and nephews.
