He was predeceased by: his parents, Roy Monroe Plunk and Bertha Elzora Kindle Plunk; and his siblings, Virginia Ruth Plunk and Billy Roy Plunk, Sr.. He is survived by: his wife Carolyn Plunk of Granbury; his children, Michael Wayne Plunk (Nancy) of Aledo and Brenda Joyce Plunk Westberry (Ronny) of Tyler; and his grandchildren, Tracy Blalack of Harker Heights, Amy Clayton of Ft. Worth, Marilyn Plunk of Ft. Worth, Travis Plunk of Ft. Worth and John Allan Plunk of Colorado Springs. He is also survived by numerous great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews; and many cousins and friends.
