With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Eddie Horton of Mineola, Texas, who passed away on July 30, 2024 at the age of 93. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Eddie Lee Horton, Sr. and Annie Cawthorne Horton; his wife Jewel Horton; his daughter Pamela Horton; his great grandchild Tremario Brown; and his siblings, John L. Horton, Willie Lee Horton and T. Cola.
He is survived by: his children, Sheron D. Horton, Eddie Jewel Horton, Susan Horton Smith, Calvin C. Horton and Alex B. Horton; his siblings, Eloise Horton McCray, Ora Lee McGhee, Annie Queen Horton and Robert Earl Horton; and his sister-in-law Maggie Pat Holmes (Shirley Jean Duncan). He is also survived by 9 grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren; 10 great-great-grandchildren.
