He was predeceased by: his parents, James R. Jones and Margaret Agnes Jones (Glancy); and his siblings, Jimmy Jones, Jr., Roberta Logan and Peggy Ann Abbott.
He is survived by: his wife Kathryn Owens Jones; his children, Kenny Vent (Leah) and Kayla Schumacher (Jeriamy); his siblings, David Jones (Pat) and Rose Mary Darr (Bobby); and his grandchildren, Kinley, Lanie, Ally, Jacob, Peyton, Zachary and Cooper. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, cousins.
