It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Beverly Jean Shields (Mineola, Texas), who passed away on October 5, 2024, at the age of 73, leaving to mourn family and friends. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Beverly Jean Shields to pay them a last tribute.
She was predeceased by: her father Harold Shields Sr.; and her grandparents, Garlin, Alma Hibbs, William "Reedy" and Ozie Shields.
She is survived by: her mother Dorma Shields of Quitman; her daughters, Elizabeth Slaughter (Dennis) of Huntington Beach, California and Jennifer Johnson (Jason) of Quitman; and her siblings, Nancy Stallings (Chris) of Quitman and Harold Shields Jr. (Debbie) of Tyler. She is also survived by nine grandchildren, four great grandchildren, and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests any donations be made to the American Cancer Society.
