With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Evelyn M. Schwertner (Miles, Texas), who passed away on January 23, 2022 at the age of 98. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Neal McBurnett and Lillie McBurnett; and her brothers, Malcolm, Billy, Pete and Paul McBurnett.

She is survived by: her husband Ernest Schwertner; and her close friends, Jerry McBurnett and Billy Schwertner.

Due to Covid, the family request everyone please wear a mask.
