He was predeceased by: his parents, James F. and Kathryn Penkert (Bennett). He is survived by: his wife Elizabeth Penkert (Lair) of Miles; his children, Christopher Penkert of Missouri and Crystal Penkert; his granddaughter Emmi of Arizona; his daughters, Alysa Lair of Miles and Karen Penkert of Miles; and his siblings, Kim Easley (Penkert) of Missouri, Jimmy Penkert of California, Terri Johnston (Penkert) of Missouri, Sherri Ramirez (Penkert) of Missouri and Justin Penkert of Missouri. He is also survived by many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to The Challenged Children's Hunt or Texas Parks and Wildlife.
