He was predeceased by: his parents, Ernest Freeman and Ethel Alvin Ivey (Starns); his son Matthew; and his sisters, Marie, Dobber and Alene.
He is survived by: his wife Connie; his children, Ernest Ivey (Samantha), Jason Ivey (Christa), Dallas Ivey (Shenah), Joshua Ivey (Jennifer), Leah Drury, Sharla Stott and Fayelynn Cobb (David); and his siblings, Sam Ivey (LelaNell), Dennis Ivey (Carolyn), Adna Hawthorne and Martha Bryan.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, October 30th 2024 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Madisonville Funeral Home (1511 E Main St, Madisonville, TX 77864). A funeral service was held on Thursday, October 31st 2024 at 2:00 PM at the Harvest Church (1403 E Loop 304, Crockett, TX 75835). A burial was held on Thursday, October 31st 2024 at the Elwood Cemetery Elwood Cemetery.
