He was predeceased by: his parents, Carlton Payne and Frances Payne (Walding); and his siblings, Louise Alexander and Jerry Payne. He is survived by: his children, Rae Kubiak (Donald), Keith Payne (Sher) and Kendrick Payne (Sharla); and his sister Carolyn Bezdek (Tom McMillian). He is also survived by twelve grandchildren and nineteen great-grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Saturday, January 4th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Mesquite Hill Baptist Church (7401 Rocky Ridge Ln, Madisonville, TX 77864). A graveside service was held on Sunday, January 5th 2025 at 3:00 PM at the Cave Springs Cemetery.
