He is survived by: his wife Hylajean Clanton Bruce; his daughter Tamara; his son-in-law Jason Perry of Arlington, Texas; his sons, Jonathan Dies of Mansfield, Texas and James Dies; his son-in-law Drew Ponto; his brother Gary Bruce of Greenwood; and his sister-in-law Vicky Bruce. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
