He was predeceased by: his parents, Joseph Collier Barksdale and Johnnie Crow Barksdale; his sister Barbara Jane Barksdale; and his sisters-in-law, Carol Hollabaugh Barksdale and Jean Bryant Barksdale.
He is survived by: his brothers, Ray Barksdale and James Barksdale (Jan); and his nieces and nephews, Julie Rogers, Jay Barksdale (Monique), Cheryl Grable (Kirk) and Lance Barksdale (Sarah).
