He was predeceased by: his parents, Cecil McDonald and Maggie Thomas McDonald; and his siblings, Bobbie Green and V. T. McDonald. He is survived by: his children, Mark McDonald of Dallas, TX and Julie Fallis (Joe) of Midlothian, TX; his wife Judy McDonald; his son Chadwick James of Dallas, TX; his sisters, Romana Archer of Keene, TX and Ruby Shanks of Arlington, TX; his sister-in-law Mary McDonald (Wanda) of Waco, TX.; and his grandchildren, Brittany and Tanner Dickerson.

Memorial Donations in Memory of Jimmy can be made to St. Judes Children's Research Hospital.
