It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Jerry Thornton Mitchell (Midlothian, Texas), born in Fort Worth, Texas, who passed away on June 29, 2024, at the age of 88, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, John A. Mitchell and Nea Willey Mitchell; his brothers, Richard Hugh Mitchell and Clarke E. Mitchell; and his daughter Kristi Ann Spann.
He is survived by: his children, Ginger Dorsett, Hal Hamblen (Phyllis) and Bryan Mitchell (Suzanne); and his grandchildren, Brad Hamblen (Michelle), Holly Hamblen, Blake Dorsett, Chase Dorsett (James), Casey Mitchell and Michael Spann. He is also survived by his family, friends.
In honor of Jerry's memory, the family requests that donations be made to the Disabled Veterans National Foundation, reflecting his enduring respect and support for fellow veterans.
