He is survived by: his children, Eugene William Taves, Jr., Paul Dean Taves (Sherry), Matthew Taves (Amber) and Kimberly Faye van Assendelft (Hidde); his grandchildren, Tyson Lee Taves (Courtney), Mickayla Diann Mitchell (Zachery), Kayleen Diane Taves, Kelsie Ann Taves, DeAnna Nicole Hawk (Mike), Jennifer Danielle Moser, Andrew Josiah Moser, Erik Andrew van Assendelft, Kelly Elise van Assendelft, Haley Alyssa Threadgill, Noah Matthew Taves, Gracie Kaye Taves and Kassidy Renee Taves; his great grandchildren, Sawyer Scott Mitchell, Adalynn Mae Mitchell and Layla Rhiannon Brandt; his stepchildren, Roger Eugene Williams, Jr. (Kayla) and Aysha Marie Blacknall (Ryan); his stepgrandchildren, Wyatt Wayne Williams, Weston Wade Williams, Sophia Marie Blacknall, Olivia Elizabeth Blacknall and Gabrielle Simone Blacknall; his brothers, Leland Taves (Carla) and Harry Taves (Judy); and his brother-in-law Al Dissmore. He is also survived by numerous cousins, nieces and nephews.
